My teacher told me to look this up, to see how others do it. The beginning starts out pretty, but then it goes on, and just– what happened? The Rs are way too over-pronounced, and it sounds off. I think it may be their Australian accent, but their vowels sound odd.

very fast, isn’t it? and some of the higher notes sounded strained and they overpronounced their Rs.

Such a beautiful song – the SATB arrangement is awesome, though, to hear the blend of the different vocal registers.

@musicedworld Agreed. this song is too light and airy for a pipe organ, even using flutes. as a choirmaster and organist myself, i rarely use the organ with the choir as i find it tends to over power the choir with its grandure and volume (not because of bad playing but because, generally you dont think of it as accompanying choirs singing light and airy songs)

oh to be young again!!! This is just a marvelous performance… It is obvious that you have spent a great deal of time with these young people to bring them to such marvelous performance standards… Planning to move to Australia, so maybe i will get to hear you all in person!! Keep up the great work!

Wow! Great Vowel Shaping – what beautiful voices. I didn’t sense the tendency for people this age to want to move to the diphthong! What types of warm ups do you do?

One of the best performances of this piece on YouTube, if not the best.

I much like the SATB arrangement of this song, but coming from an SSA choir, I say both arrangements are equally beautiful. :)

Yeah. When you capture things on video, like, without some professional microphone to catch all the details, it always sounds weird. (: They’re really good. (:

they are not trebles, they are sopranos. The word “treble” applies to boys.

personally I think this song should be sung by an SATB choir not just treble cuz the Bass part is awesome

Pretty sure when we did this in our school choir, we sounded like poo on stick. Possibly because the soprano’s were the only ones singing and everyone else sat around flicking spit balls at each other. ahhh memories.
